For us young adults, well I don’t know if it’s just for me, bedroom furnishings and accessories like bedsheets or comforters and so on and so forth are just not on my head. I don’t really care much for them let alone, think about them for even one bit, well I guess this is because much of us don’t own a house of our own yet and so it isn’t really important. However, as part of my desire to learn more about things that I have no idea about, I tried to learn about bedroom furnishings like the deep pocket flannel sheets that we’ve had for so long which I’ve taken for granted.
Our sheets are really comfortable to use, I don’t when we’ve had it but I’d reckon before I was even born, maybe my parents got it as a wedding gift I don’t know and all I could say is that they feel nice, really nice. I asked my mom about it and she told me that these sheets becomes even more comfortable and nice to the touch with every wash and prolonged use.
I’ve also noticed that in the colder season, I’m always warm on my bed and I seldom complained about being too cold or about body pains from the cold weather. Surprisingly, in the hotter season, my sheet doesn’t make it too hot for me to be uncomfortable and instead, it is quite cool to the skin so I seldom use any other kinds of sheets but flannel.
Additionally, my bed is thick, at fourteen inches, my mom has a hard time trying to put on ordinary sheets on my bed because it wouldn’t stay on, plus, my constant moving while I’m asleep doesn’t help at all so these deep pocket flannel sheets are perfect for my bed. It’s also quite easy to wash, you can hand wash it or put it in the washing machine, take note though that it can be very heavy when it’s wet.
Understanding the usefulness of these deep pocket flannel sheets, I’ve always gone to sleep feeling happy and contented and I’m sure to get more of them when I get my own place.
